Dennis Dorando


      Dennis is happy to volunteer as a Camp Eyas Director.  He served over 24 years in the US Navy in the Engineering Field on various afloat and shore commands; serving as a Command Master Chief during his last three tours and retiring in 1995 as a certified Navy Boiler Inspector.  Dennis graduated Summa Cum Laude from Roger Williams University in 1996, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.  Following graduation, he was the Assistant Manager of the Navy Federal Credit Union at Newport Naval Base.  During his time at Navy Federal Credit Union, he received the President’s Award for preparing and conducting financial management classes for military and civilian personnel.  In the nonprofit sector, Dennis has served as Treasurer of the Swinburne School and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Newport Navy Base YMCA.  His duties as a Director include attending meetings of our Board of Directors and voting on board decisions.
